Nisin Feed
Nisin is a short chain polypeptide that acts as an antibiotic. Antimicrobial agent produced from a strain of lactococcus lactis. It is considered a natural preservative agent of high efficiency and suitable for human consumption. GRAS product status is recognized. It is active against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive bacteria, particularly those that produce spores. It also inhibits pathogens such as clostridium botulinum, staphylococcus aureus, listeria monocytogenes and bacillus stearothermophilus.
