Sorbic Acid Feed
Sorbic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid that can be found in some vegetables. It needs to be obtained by chemical synthesis to be used as a food additive. It is slightly soluble in water; soluble ethanol or methanol, glacial acetic acid, acetone and propylene glycol. Sublimes when applied to boiling or high temperature.
It complies with the rules of the country of origin and its use is allowed by the agreement in which the use of additives and coadjuvants is determined. For dosage and limitations, it is recommended to consult the NOM of the product.
